TURIN, Italy – December 20, 2019 – Topcon Agriculture announces two members of its personnel have accepted leadership positions for AgGateway in 2020. Bruno Lucio, sales and channel development manager for Latin America, has been appointed to the AgGateway Board of Directors as well as the Latin American Steering Committee; and Francesco Martire, OEM digital specialist, has been selected to the Steering Committee for Europe.
AgGateway is a non-profit consortium of businesses serving the agriculture industry. It has a mission to promote and enable the industry’s transition to digital agriculture, and expand the use of information to maximize efficiency and productivity.
Lucio said, “In my new roles, I am excited to be a part of the trusted forum where resources are developed, global collaboration occurs, and members are equipped so they can realize the benefits of digital agriculture. I am passionate about helping the industry maximize the power of information to operate profitably, safely and sustainably.”
Martire said, “I am proud to represent Topcon on a team that brings together people in a collaborative process, within and across agricultural sectors. Expanding eConnectivity is essential to many facets of modern ag production, and I am excited to leverage my position on the Steering Committee for Europe to help achieve that goal.”
The positions were announced on December 12 along with an annual report and a theme for 2020 initiatives called Driving Digital Solutions, which stresses the imperative to realize digital transformation.
